Propaganda is information intended to convince people of the moral correctness of a cause. Propaganda is not concerned with presenting balanced or unbiased portrayals of an issue, but only exists to persuade someone to embrace the beliefs of the propagandist.
Under direction of Joseph Goebbels, the Nazis used propaganda to promote the policies of the Holocaust. Propagandistic films, literature, and posters glorified Aryans, while they presented Jews as traitorous, greedy, subhuman enemies who had sabotaged Germany in World War I. In this way, Christian Germans were manipulated into allowing and encouraging the segregation and murder of Jews.
